In cool but clear conditions more than 50 players from across the New England including Armidale, Uralla, Tenterfield, Ashford and Inverell RSM took part in the tournament.

At the conclusion of the event five teams had won all three games and on a coutnback the winners had a margin of 41 shots.

Coming in second were local pair Ken Montague and Ray Writer with a margin of 33, while third place went to Inverell RSM bowlers Brian Denis and Chick Lennon with a margin of 24 shots.

The next major event for the Club will be the 'End of Winter Open Pairs' to be held on August 29 and 30.
