SIX students from Inverell High School travelled to Glendale, in Newcastle, to compete in the Combined High Schools annual gymnastics competitions.

Four girls competed rhythmic, one boy participated in men's artistic and another boy was in special O's gymnastics.

Skye Trevithick was awarded first overall with Jessica Trevithick gaining second, Gabby Scaysbrook third and Johanna Colley fourth.

Jessica, Gabby and Johanna were fortunate enough with their combined scores to give them a first place medal.

Blake Trevithick gained fourth overall in men's artistic and Ryan McDermott showed his skills in his special O's routines.

Ryan was presented with a gold medal for travelling and participating with the hope of special O's being included in future CHS competitions.

Skye and Jessica also demonstrated a multiples routine with the hope it will be included next year.

The students were accompanied by parents as well as coach Debbie Hankins from the Yotala Gymnastics Club in Inverell.
