PEOPLE who are less fortunate in Inverell will benefit from a fundraiser hosted by the Blue Liners Touring Motorcycle Group.

The Blue Liners are made up of police, former police, their family and friends. Last month, the group hosted a Christmas in July as part of their annual get-together.

Sergeant Darren Williams, who organised the event in Inverell, said $1000 was raised for the Inverell Salvation Army.

“We were pleased with how well it went and everyone really enjoyed themselves,” Sgt Williams said.

“We would like to thank New England Motorcycles and Inverell Truck and Diesel for their donations of prizes to raffle

“Their assistance is greatly appreciated.”

Since the Blue Liners started 10 years ago, they have given more than $150,000 to non-profit, charitable organisations across NSW.

Captain Chris Millard said the money raised would go to those less fortunate.

“The money will stay local and we thank the Blue Liners for their support,” Captain Millard said.
